"Golf can be fun .... let us help you enjoy your game."

Eileen McCaffrey, LPGA Member

The year 2018 will mark the start of my 22nd year at Cherry Creek Golf Links. My LPGA career started when I decided to make a dramatic career change by leaving Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after 21 years of service. Before joining Cherry Creek Golf Links I began my professional career in golf at the private Woodcrest Club in Syosset, L.I.

I am a Class A Member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division and active with the LPGA Organization - volunteering to teach junior clinics at LPGA tour events sponsored by Ronald McDonald House Charities. Being a Member of the LPGA affords me the opportunity to continue to expand my learning experiences through various schools, workshops and seminars.

My love of the game is only overshadowed by my enthusiasm to encourage as many people as possible to learn and participate in the game of golf. In the past I have volunteered to give the students at the Cleary School For The Deaf, in Ronkonkoma, L.I., golf instructions. Teaching these children has been a most rewarding and extraordinary experience for me.

Along with my schedule of lessons, clinics and golf schools, I am also a Certified Custom Club Fitter for Ping and Tour Edge and a contributing writer for Golfing Magazine.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced golfer, have a high or low handicap, my approach to teaching golf is the same. My method of teaching stresses the concept of building a solid foundation of fundamentals on which to create a consistent golf swing, while incorporating each student's natural abilities and tendencies.

My motto has always been one that I follow and hope you will too: Relax and enjoy – golf can be fun!!!

John is a PGA apprentice and turned professional in 2012.  He played golf at Farmingdale State College and competed in the NCAA Tournament 2 years in a row.  Johns teaching philosophy revolves around improving a students overall game while keeping the swing natural for each individual.  With nearly 3,000 lessons taught in the last 5 years John provides instruction and coaching to all ages and all skill levels on and off the course.  Entering his 2nd year at Cherry Creek John utilizes the facilities grass range, short game area, and golf course to help his student round out their games and play their best golf.
“My goal is to get more people involved in the game of golf and help my students play the best golf they can.  Everyone can enjoy the game whether they are competitive or just play for fun, golf is a game you can play for a lifetime.”
